Am I in an alternate universe or something?

I don't know WTF is going on, but I'm seriously freaked.

I have had a eBay account for about a year, and have used it extensively. Probably bought over 100 things, with a rating of 83 and no negative feedback. Sounds like I'm a perfect eBayer, right?

I went to check out how much the S4 401-402 DVD's were going for, and decided to "watch" it. But when I went to log in, it said I was Blocked! When I finally found my way around to check myself out (as if I was someone else), it said I wasn't a registered user! This after I bought something through it on Friday, and had 2 items I was still bidding on!

Anyone have a clue what happened? I used eBay's automated system (which sucks, BTW), and have to wait 24 hrs for a response.

There better not be any super stuff that I'm missing out on...

Has the listing been taken down? I'm just guessing, but it could be that because those types of listings are against eBay's rules, they blocked anybody who had bid or watched the item. I know that in the past they've been *really* strict about video (music) bootlegs of concerts and such.

No, I hadn't even looked at it before. And it was the first time I looked at it that that happened.

I've looked at and bid on stuff like that before, and it just gets cancelled. I would think the seller would be in trouble, not the looker/buyer. It's not like it's kiddyporn or something...

True. And I just went and looked and the listing is still there. (An aside: $152.50?!?!?! Holy shit.) Sorry I don't have any other ideas...

They probably banned anyone involved in the transaction because it was illegal distribution of a copyrighted product. That's the only thing that makes sense.

Let me know what you find out.
