... there are 2 mentions of QaF in the new US magazine, dated 4/19/04.
The first is on page 40, in the section entitled "VIP Scene", and states:
"Jackie Collins swooning over Queer as Folk star Gale Harold at Motorola's party for the show at New York City's Gramercy Park Hotel."
Of course, who wouldn't swoon over Gale?
The other is a much longer (a little less than 1/2 page) article on page 74, in the US Entertainment Guide section. It's titled "Hot TV Drama":
QUEER AS FOLK
With HIV-positive teens, drug addiction and cases of gay-bashing, Queer returns as in-your-face as ever.
THE STARS Gale Harold, Hal Sparks, Randy Harrison, Peter Paige, Scott Lowell, Robert Gant, Sharon Gless
THE STORY The groundbreaking drama about a tight-knit group of gay pals in Pittsburgh finger-snaps into its fourth year. In the opener, perfect couple Michael and Ben (Sparks and Gant) fight to keep an HIV-positive street hustler (Harris Allan) away from his bad mom, while crystal-met addict Ted (Lowell) check himself into rehab.
WHAT'S GOOD One of the tube's most unflinching dramas, Folk - based on the Brit hit - has also been one of its most self-consciously cool. Now, with characters like Harold's cocky ad exec fleshed out, a seductive cast (Sparks is Must See TV-ready) and often incendiary writing (that hustler's mom sure has a mean mouth), it's one of the most watchable.
WHAT'S BAD Queer isn't all cutting edge - one story line about straight-bashing vigilantes plays like a surreal CHiPs episode. And someone send Jackie Collins royalties for the "sexy" dialogue (guy on phone turning down job while in bed with his lover: "Tell them I've just taken a new position").
FINAL SAY Three stars (out of 4) A gay ol' time.

I'm just glad to see that the show is getting more coverage!
