Well, I have today off, and you think it would be a lazy day. I wish.

Well, that doesn't sound bad. So what's the problem?

So, as you can see, while I'd rather spend the day watching QaF (and I still hope to find a bit of time for it), or keeping current on LJ or reading fic, my day off has little hope of holding any fun.

Woe is me.

ETA: I think, to be fair, that I'll let myself read one story after entering each checkbook into Quicken, and then one story after I finish each month's reconcilation. Sounds fair, right?

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

If you read my previous post, you'd know that I have 9 months of checking & 2 savings accounts to reconcile - about 1100 transactions minimum. So I spent the last 4 hours getting all the written checks into the computer, using the statements to fill in withdrawals, transfers, and electronic funds transfers. I also got the first month reconciled for 3 accounts.

Then I decided to try to go online to find out the breakdown of one deposit. One lousy, measly deposit.

Which froze my computer.

Control/Alt/Delete didn't help.

Had to hard boot it off.

And lost all that work.

*sobs*

*wails*

I was thinking of saving first, but my XP has never frozen on me before.

I need a drink.

ETA: Leaving the computer now (f*cking thing). Will clean the guest room first. At least THAT can't crash on me.

Not a QaF song... but one I really, really love.

Beautiful, by Joydrop, off the album Metasexual. DL if you want - I love this song! And if you don't, just delete it. But I'm betting you will keep it.

And if I'm crazy, and I'm the only one who loves this, let me know too. So I won't bother everyone with my possibly eclectic taste in music.

Not a QaF song... but one I really, really love.

One more music post - this is classified as "Classical" - but I don't see it that way. It's called "Destiny" by David Templeton. I met him at an arts show, where they had a few musicians amongst the 100's of other artists. He was selling CD's, and he was great (in a new age way). I like this song, because it calls to me. It makes me see that the future is infinite, and what I make it.

Listen if you want. It's really good. Definitely not thumpa-thumpa though. Although I do love thumpa-thumpa.
