I sent my computer off on Wednesday, at 1:pm, to have the DVD/CD drive replaced in my computer. It had stopped working just after the 6 month return date from Costco. I figured... it will probably be a week or so until I get it back.
So today, at 10:40, the doorbell rang. I was in the shower, but opened the bedroom window to see who it was. I figured - political types or religious types.
Nope! It was the DHL guy - back with my computer, in less than 48 hours. From here to Dallas, repaired, and back in under 2 days. Amazing!
And on a funny side note - he came to get it on Weds, just as I was getting in the shower. And returned it while I was in the shower. So he saw me icky, and then with my hair full of conditioner. LOL
Of course, I have to get to a training in about 15 minutes (and need to finish rinsing my hair, dress, makeup, dry hair) - shit, I'm not going to make it on time. I'll have to make sure the computer works when I get back.
*crosses fingers*
ETA: Called the doc I was going to be training with to tell her I'd be 10 minutes late - turns out, that's fine. She forgot, was still at home about a hour away, and would meet me at 1 pm. She was the one who felt bad about it. Hoping the luck holds out with the computer. I'm almost afraid to look.
