Dec. 11th, 2004 12:24 amTonight was fun, and painful.
Got up at 5 am, to leave for work by 6 am (had to be there at 8). Left at 6:15, and got there about 10 minutes early (horrible traffic). Left at 4:30 pm, and had to get home to clean up & change to go to Mannheim Steamroller (a Christmas Party for one of the offices I work at). It took me until 7 pm to get home, 20 minutes to clean up, the exit was blocked for the Tacoma Dome, so we had to park about 6 blocks away (downhill). Wore high-heels (never do), and had to walk uphill in the pouring rain.
And did I mention I'd forgotten to eat much the last 2 days (sandwich only yesterday, bagel only today)? And there were literally rivers running down the sidewalk. And the balls of my feet felt like someone had stuck a lighted coal in them?
The concert was great! Music & stage show very good - all Christmas music. Only had some wine and cheese, so walked to a nearby restaurant for late supper. Was all downhill, and slipped and fell in the road, and am now missing a chunk of flesh from my right palm. Was shocking, to fall.
Got cleaned up in the restaurant bathroom (thank god the waitress helped out with antimicrobial wipes & a bandaid), and had dinner. Just got home (it's after midnight... did I mention I got up at 5 am?).
Have to go to bed now to get up at 7 am for work... and damn, my hand stings. But the concert was great, and I may never wear those heels again.
Off to catch up on the Brian & Justin LJ's, then off to beddy bye.
Talk to you tomorrow!
