I saw the *greatest* movie last night...
May. 4th, 2008 07:10 pmOf course, I was a SciFi dweeb, but I never read the comic, knew nothing about it, except for the trailer I watched at work on Friday, which let me to find the website, and watch like 5 different vids about it.
And make me sure I had to see it on Saturday. I can't remember the last time a movie in the theaters did that for me. I mean, I did go see "Mr & Mrs Smith" feeling kind-of that way, but it was more to try not to think about the surgery I was having the next day. And it did it's job.
The SO agreed to go (by text), then committed to other people afterwards, & backed out, so I went alone. And it!
I love RDJ, and how he's come back. That's the way you do it, when you've made a mash-up of everything (are you listening, LiLo & Brit?). You lay low for a while, work on yourself, and have a fantastic comeback. It lets people forget about what you did wrong, and gives it time for a re-invention of self to be possible and believable.
And if you go, make sure to stick around for the bit after the credits!
