You know I didn't realize this was you first surgery. No wonder you're nervous.
It'll be fine, really. Go find some smut and take your mind off things.
BTW I really do the deep breathing, not quite meditating stuff and it help mes stay calm. Basically you just kinda zone out and focus only on breathing in and out in a nice slow pace. I kinda say inside my head. "breathe in, breathe out." At the same time I focus on how my body feels as I breath and only that. If I feel my anxiety level start to rise or my mind wandering to what if, I refocus and breathe. Mutter it under your breathe if need be. When I worked in the hospital I had GLITTER WANDS I use to use to give kids something to focus on. I still have a small key chain one that I sometimes take with me to doctors appointments.
