Well, the meds must be better adjusted because I'm entering (or attempting to enter into) one of my slightly manic phases, which I love a lot, because they are fun, but which are hard on people around me.
I tend to want to shop, I tell tons of stories, and I'm very outgoing. I talked the ear off the receptionist I worked with today.
And I bought a 80 gb portable USB drive (to go with my laptop, of course, although I really just use the PC at home, and the laptop if I travel), 3 Linkin Park DVD's, 2 Trance CD's, a Big Bag O'BBQ Chips, and some sundry feminine items which shall remain nameless. And that was with reining myself in.
Then I got home, and realized I needed to make reservations to fly to my sister's wedding... on Oct 15th. Which is the biggest fuck-up of all, not because of the bride or groom, but because I have to fly out of town on the same day Peter Paige is finally on the West Coast, in a town under a hour from me, promoting his movie at the Seattle Film Festival.
*headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk*
As a reminder, this is the same sister (my only blood relation in my generation, actually) who had her engagement party the same day as Pride Weekend here in Seattle, so I missed it for the first time in... forever.
*headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk*
And she is a beautiful, wonderful free spirit, totally liberal, gay friendly, wonderful person... who just happened to pick the 2 worst days for me this year for her lifechanging, special parties. Unintentionally, of course.
*headdesk* *headdesk* *headdesk*
*picks up head wooooooozily.....*
Life is never fair, is it?

Where was I?
Oh yeah. I also bought 2 plane tickets for me and the S.O. to go to the wedding... at around $650.
*cringes*
Tried the Frequent Flier miles, but they want double, and I hate to squander them. I prefer to save them, like when I paid $5 for a trip to Boston to see Gale, Thea, and Michelle... then drove to New Jersey to see Hal, Bobby, and Harris... *remembers* *dreams*
Tried to book a flight to California for Thanksgiving, to spend with good friends... but at $700 for 2 of us, we'd be better off driving the 12 hours each way. Looks like I'm leaving at 3 am Thanksgiving morning. At least I can sleep, as the S.O. will drive. Although he always wakes me up, saying that he'll fall asleep if I don't talk to him, so sleep may be only a dream...
*totally up what I spent today*
*looking at bills*
Damn, I really should return... something.
*worries, but not too much - mania is nice!*

And the ticket to your sister's wedding so that you can stay and go see Peter and his movie WITH ME! *nods*
Goin' down the flist
I think I'm in lust over a toilet brush they just showed on TV. Your purchases are much better.
Hope the mania heals you up, makes you feel good, takes away the tired, and all good things :)
