I don't know how I mange to luck out but I have *crosses fingers* so far never had a problem with my 3gne iPod and never *crosses fingers again* never had a problem with iTune updates. IMO the difference is that iTunes 5 seems to load faster & I think additional support has been built in because they are going to start selling videos soon. They have been offering them as bonus tracks but now they'll be regular downloads.
