Another entry in the "be careful what you wish for" category
I realized this afternoon that I had agreed to go out to the casino tonight with my SO's best friend (Jay) & his wife (Su). My birthday was on the 13th, and Jay's is today. So what is the problem? Tonight is Sunday - meaning Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, and The L Word. And the DVD-R on the cable is at 95%, and I don't want to wait to watch 'em.
So I thought "If only I didn't have to go out tonight, it would be perfect"... and I may have gotten my wish, but not the way I wanted.
I'm not feeling so hot right now. Having... intestinal trouble, if you know what I mean. Dizzy eposides, feeling nauseous, burning stomach, that icky feeling on the back of your tongue that tells you not to stray too far from the bathroom. I hope I don't have food poisoning again. I only had it once, but it kept me out of work for 3 days, and took me almost a week to fully recover.
All in all, I'd have preferred to fake it. Or record the shows. Over really being ill.
