A little freaked, here...

sgornyI just found out that on Saturday night, a female optometric physician was brought into a local emergency room - because she committed suicide by shooting herself. I'm not sure who she was yet, or what the circumstances were... but it's a bit freaky to have someone whose life should be very similar to mine decide that death was the only answer.
Plus, I know (at least peripherally) most of the female doctors in the area, and I want to know if it was someone I knew. I've called my 3 closest professional friends - it wasn't any of them (thank God!). They are as freaked as I am.
Checked the local papers on-line archives - there was only one young woman who was dead, no cause given, and I don't think I recognize the name...
It makes you rethink things when something like this happens.
