A good news/bad news day

Good news #1 - my throat felt a lot better today - only a little pain
Bad news #1 - the doctor I worked for TM'd me saying she'd bring in the $$ she owes me for past work - about $2500. But she never answered her phone, or came in.
Good news #2 - picked up the new PC today - AMD 3200 64 chip, 2 gb RAM, 200+160+60 gb hard drives, and my old/new DL DVD burner.
Bads news #2 - it cost over $1300, when you add the data recovery in.
Good news #3 - my sister in law doesn't have cancer
Bad news #3 - I have to try to find all the programs I had on the old PC to DL them, and I got a lot "given" to me by my computer guy, who has been hard to reach throughout this computer crisis. He's in Portland, for some reason. Can only hope he comes back, or I'll have to pay probably $1000 to replace the programs.
So all in all, the good news is pretty good, and the bad news... not so bad.
But for some reason I'm afraid to plug the new computer in. I know all the work it's going to take, and how obsessed I'll be with it... and I don't really have the time. Then again, I won't until... probably early July? And I definitely can't wait that long.
Maybe I'll just take it out of the box. I've got the tape cut - it's a start!
