Well, I've been experimenting with styles within LJ. I know next to nothing, and have been playing with their customizations pretty unsuccessfully.

Anyone willing to help me make my LJ pretty?

i'm not terribly experienced (and i don't know anything about S2 or style layers), but i did my own journal's layout.. so i may be able to help if you have any questions about S1 (particularly generator).

i could make you a pretty simple header [like in my own journal and some other things i've done] and you could stick that in somewhere, heh, but other than that all i can do is follow layout tutorials *shrug*.

haha, excellent. well just let me know if you want a certain colour scheme to match your background colour or if you want one that stands out rather than blends in with the background, etc... big or small... how you want your name on there... any text... otherwise i'll go crazy with it ;)

I actually like your lj the way it is now lol.

I'm so bad with layouts and stuff. It took me a while to get my current layout done, and i'm not messing with it for a while still.
A good tip though...always try to keep it simple. The overly done and fancy layouts can be too much at times.

frenchie_icons has a couple of really great component layers which you can download and add headers etc to - my present layout is a frenchies one and I just edited it :)
