Hey, I belong to a RPG called fags_in_pitts. It's set after S2, before S3. I play Teddy, and we desperately need a few more characters - especially Emmett, because without him, my role is very sketchy indeed.

Um, hi. I thought about applying earlier, but figured you people probably wouldn't want me as I've never really been part of a RPG before, and I don't have a proper idea of what goes on and all. But I'm curious, so if you don't mind too much, could you tell me how exactly the whole thing works? Hope you don't mind I'm asking you :)

Hey, it's the first time I've been part of one!

You just take a character, and play him. The other RPers act out their characters, too. You just go with the flow.

I thought it would be rough, but it isn't. It's kinda fun, actually!

Just make sure you know what timeline you're working on (this one is post S2, before S3) - so like for me, Teddy is just getting together with Emmett, hasn't yet had the crystal problem or rehab.

I also play Teddy in a post S3 RPG (never do anything the small way!) - and am post-rehab Teddy there. Just have to keep the two straight.

I'd recommend only joining one group, though. It's easier that way.

Oh, okay :). For some reason, I was thinking up all these complicated scenarios. So basically, after you join, you just post in the journal and reply to the others and so on? Do you need to actually RP anything on AIM or anything like that?

Yeah, I think they do RP on AIM, but I can't get the damn thing to log on on my computer. Have a name (heresteddy) too, but can't get on! Can get onto YIM & MSN IM. May have to reload AIM (again), or try to figure out the preferences part.

Many of the characters do long posts to stimulate conversation. I haven't done that yet - mostly replied to things. I need to get with the program.

Weird. Maybe the version you got doesn't work with your browser or computer system? The whole RP on AIM thing is what scares me - it seems so, I don't know, serious or official or something! ... That, or I'm just strange.

Well, my McAfee antivirus program can't seem to access the internet either... but I can get in through IE.

And everytime I shut off, it gives me this window that says something is running and to wait or end task... but I can't tell what the program is. Probably the thing fucking up my browser.

I recently uploaded the new Windows security updates - don't usually do that, because did it once before and it screwed everything up. Looks like it did it again.
