They sent me an e-mail, offering me a free shampoo bar ("Equal to 3-250 ml bottles) if I bought $45 or more. So I went to the site. And lately have been into new things, like washes & soaps. For ** years, I've used either Ivory (or Dove as a child) only. I do use Kerastase shampoo & conditioner, but that's because my hair is pretty screwed up from too much foiling & coloring. So using anything else is a pretty big deal (for me).

Last year, I discovered LUSH. Got some bath bombs (their 6 bomb set, something like "Something Special", sorry for no link, but my internet is a bitch today. LOVED their bombs. And then I went to the Nordstrom's Spring Cosmetics Fashion Show, and ended up getting a ton of Philosophy skin care products. So I'm branching out like crazy. But let's end this digression.

So I went to the site, because of the e-mail (great marketing!), which offered a free product that I didn't need, or was (truthfully) likely to use. And what happened?

I ended up with just a little over $100 in stuff. Bubble Bars, Bath Melts, Bombs... and, oh yeah... the solid shampoo.

*headdesk*

At least I'll get some good relaxation out of it, if I can ever make the time!

I want to like Lush, but it just makes me sneeze. Not even going in the store, just walking by it does it.

Haven't we all been in that postition and done that. That word *FREE* will get you every time. It turns on some type of endorphins in our brains. Buy 1 get 1 free, 2 for the price of 1. Forget the fact that sometimes we have to pay a fortune to get that free item all we see is *FREE* and it cannot be ignored. LOL

A friend sent me some LUSH stuff for my birthday a few years ago, and ever since I've been getting their catalogue in the mail. I love looking through it, seeing all the fun names and the inventive packaging, but I just can't use any of it because of allergies. :(

Ah, marketing. :)
