Does anyone have a My Book?  And if you do, what do you do for backup?  Use the WD Anywhere (Memeo) program that it comes with, use another program, or just Drag-n-Drop?

And if you use the WD Anywhere, once it's fully backed up, does it take as long?  Because it's been... almost 12 hours, and it's only backed up 71 gigs (49 left to go).  I'm assuming it just does the immediately changed stuff, so it's fast(er).

But then again, it *is* a program that costs $30, and if there is something better out there, or something more reliable or faster...

I have one and it does take a long time but 12 hours for 71 gigs does seem slow. Is it on a USB2 port? Maybe it's on a USB1. How old is the computer? I kept getting failures and it would tell me that the drive was full when it was no where near full. Turns out it comes formatted in FAT32, which can't take big files, and I have a lot of very very big files. SO I ended up formatting it and wiped out all of the backup software and now am just copying by hand. Which is not efficient. I'm going to buy a second one and change the file format before I try backing anything up onto it.
