Am I crazy for considering getting another nano just for podfic?  My current 16 gb one just isn't big enough for music *and* fanfic!

I really like the form of the Nano. I often use it at the gym, and destroyed my 3rd gen Nano by keeping it in my workout bra, seriously sweated it to death. The new Nano has a clip, and I can easily attach it to the strap or neckline of my workout top, keeping the important parts away from anything nasty.

I would love more storage, though. Hence the idea for a fanfic Nano, and a mixed media (fanfic/music) Nano.

I'm a borderline neat freak, i like being organized so sometimes i keep thinking i should erase the contents of my older ipod and just u/l vids on it and have my newer one just music. But i also like the idea that all my music/vids are in the same device instead of carrying multiple ipods. I guess w/ nanos, it wouldn't be a big deal since they're much smaller.

Where does one go to find podfic? I've only seen a few podfic files to download.

Well, I started at ai_podfic, then went to podklb, not to mention the podfic at http://audiofic.jinjurly.com/search/node/adam%20lambert - and from there, found readers that I liked, went to the LJ's, and used their tags for "podfic"... I've got over 200? saved, I think. Let me look...

9 gb of Kradam fanfic (but some are saved as both .mp3 & .m4b, so there are dups)
400 mb of Lambliff or other Glamily fanfic
3.3 gb of Bandom fanfic

I have a few listed at my Delicious acct ( http://delicious.com/sgorny ), but not many... I think it's because usually the page with the links is a direct download, and I must not have got around to marking it, as I save my audiofic on my PC, but my fanfic on my netbook.

Anyway, best of luck at finding fic - it's always a joy when new ones come out!

I have a checklist I use before I buy something:
- can I afford it?
- will I use it enough to justify the price?

if it fits both of those, then go for it!!

I think it would, as I love to listen to podfic while at the gym & driving to work (and have about 12+ gb of it), but would like to have the option of having my favorite tunes for when other people are with me, or when I'm in the mood for it.

If they would just make a 32 gb Nano, I'd be set!
