A friend of a close friend is getting married. She & I tend to travel in the same circles when she's visiting the state. She announced a week ago that she was getting married on Thursday (tomorrow) to her fiance, here in WA. She had come for my goddaughter's graduation.

As I was leaving my goddaughter's BBQ (having had too much food, too much drink, and too little sleep the night before), my FOAF asked, "Can you make a necklace to match my dress?"

I didn't feel I could say no, and it WOULD be nice to have a reason to create again. So, of course, instead of just looking through the glass & other beads I have, and making something that would match, I had to take the jacket of the dress to the Bead Factory, and then match colors for Swarovski crystals. Because I am a geek that way.

Took pics, but it didn't come out so well when I tried to lay it flat on the scanner.

Suzie's Wedding Necklace - original design

Sketched at work, looking at the crystals available. Set this up, and then modified it after color mixing/balancing to the Working Design.

Design as originally planned for the necklace. Had to add a bead to the lower strand in the center, as it hung wrong without it.

That's really pretty. I can't even imagine what your jewelry box looks like. There must be so many beautiful things in there.

I read about the Pride necklace above. That's such a great idea. It should get lots of compliments for being so unique.
